Charlie as he is affectionally known, was a elite class speed and excitement machine on the race track. He had the pace to lead them a merry dance, class to compete in and win group races, but the courage to dig deep and guts his way to the line under pressure. He raced almost exclusively in feature and top grade or group races.

Charlie won a semi final of the Vic Peters at Wentworth Park at a young age, in devastating fashion (29.51), with a blinding turn of early speed, and was desperately unlucky in a star studded final.

He had a massive will to win. He won 26 races in total, 14 of them at NSW Headquarters at Wentworth Park. 11 of these Wentworth Park wins being top grade or group class events, and including some blisteringly fast wins . Times recorded included: 29.40, 29.69, 29.87, 29.51, 29.78, 29.68, 29,93, 29.99 , 29.82, 29,78

He is the second son of Ebby Miss to win the prestigious time honoured Group Two Maitland Cup, in what was a hot field. Class is in the family !

Charlie was born here from Middy (Ebby Miss, since deceased), and grew up here on our property. Ebby Miss was a champion Australian brood bitch, the dam of Aussie Infrared, Ebby Ripper, Suffragette and a long list of top class dogs. Charlie is by champion number one Australian sire Fernando Bale.

He is the half brother to highly successful stud dog Aussie Infrared, who is a consistent producer of Group winners, having already produced the likes of Catch the Thief, Zipping Krygios, Playlist, Ebby Infrared and Lala Kiwi.

Charlie is super good natured both on and away from the track, and made us massively proud.

Charlie had an abrupt end to his race track career, chipping a bone in his pad on his front leg. He has had surgery and is expected to make a full recovery. We will be making him available at stud in the near future.
